Hameray Classroom Literacy Blog

Hameray Herald: May 2013 Issue

The Common Core State Standards place a high value on informational text, emphasizing it more in the early grades than ever before. Hameray offers over 130 leveled informational texts that contain key text features (glossaries, indices, and headings), while increasing children's world knowledge with exciting facts and holding their attention with bright, beautiful photography. Topics are specially chosen to be familiar to children or of particular interest to them, including recreational activities, machines, and aspects of the natural world, such as animals and plants.
